Adhkar App
Terms of use
Using the app means agreeing to these terms. They are short because the app is simple: read, count, keep your record, and treat the people you compete with kindly.
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Creative Bot Agency ("we", "us") for the use of Adhkar App on iPhone and Android ("the app") and the services behind it. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The app
The app presents morning, evening and night adhkar with Arabic text, transliteration, translation and references, lets you count as you read, sets reminders from prayer times for a place you choose, and keeps a record of your progress on your device. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play you installed it from.
2. Content and its sources
The adhkar in the app are drawn from the Qur'an and from authenticated hadith collections, and each entry cites its source. We take care over the text, but we are not a scholarly authority and the app is not religious advice. Prayer times come from a third-party service calculated for the place you choose and may differ from your local mosque; check them against a source you trust, especially for fasting. The app does not replace the judgement of a qualified scholar.
The app's design, code, illustrations and arrangement of content are ours or our licensors'. You may not copy, sell, redistribute or make derivative works from the app or its content, other than for your personal use.
3. Your record and backups
Your record is kept on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud or Google Drive. We do not hold a copy. You are responsible for keeping backups, for the files you export, and for the devices and cloud accounts you keep them in. We will always try to preserve your record through updates, and the app never deletes an existing record to make room for a new one, but we cannot recover data from a device, a cloud account or a file we never had.
4. Adhkar Pro
Adhkar Pro is an optional subscription that removes advertising and unlocks additional features described in the app. It is sold as an Individual plan or a Family plan, through Apple's App Store or Google Play, and these points apply:
- Billing and renewal. Payment is taken by Apple or Google at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, at the price shown at the time of purchase.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end and is not refunded by us. Refund requests go to Apple or Google under their policies.
- Trials and offers. Where a free trial or introductory price is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. The terms of each offer are shown before you accept it.
- Family plan. A Family plan covers up to six people invited by the plan holder, each keeping their own record. The holder may remove members, and leaving a family group ends that member's access to Pro features.
- Sign-in. Pro is tied to an account, so that it follows you across your devices. Signing in with Apple or Google is required to purchase or to restore a Pro subscription.
- Changes. We may add, change or retire Pro features, and change prices for future periods with notice through the store. Nothing in Pro ever gates reading, reminders, streaks, backups, restore or sync.
5. Accounts
An account is created only when you sign in with Apple or Google. You must be old enough to hold such an account under Apple's or Google's terms. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you believe it has been used without your permission. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes everything we hold about you as described in the privacy policy.
6. Compete with friends
Compete is an optional feature, off by default, that lets you share daily completion counts with people you invite. When you use it you agree to:
- choose a display name that is your own and is not offensive, misleading or impersonating anyone;
- send invitations only to people you know and who would welcome them;
- use encouragement messages, where available, kindly.
Counts are self-reported and shown as they are. We may remove a display name, a friendship or an account that is used to harass, impersonate or spam others, or that abuses the service. You can hide from or remove any friend at any time, and turning Compete off deletes your account and everything we hold.
7. Advertising
The free app shows non-personalised, family-safe advertising from Google AdMob. Advertisers are responsible for their own content; we do not endorse what appears and we block the categories we consider unsuitable. Subscribing to Adhkar Pro removes advertising.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app, except where the law allows it;
- interfere with the service or access it other than through the app;
- upload counts that are not your own practice, or otherwise misuse Compete;
- use the app in any way that breaks the law or the store's rules.
9. Availability and changes
The app itself works offline for reading, counting and your record. Reminders need prayer times to have been fetched, and sync, Pro and Compete need a connection and our servers. We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features, including the servers behind Pro and Compete, with reasonable notice where we can give it. Your record on your device is unaffected by any such change.
10. Warranty and liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated here, and we are not liable for any loss or damage that is not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, nor for loss of data you have not backed up, nor for any indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect.
11. Apple and Google
If you installed the app from the App Store, Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to support the app, and is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce these terms against you. Apple's own terms of service apply to the purchase of subscriptions. If you installed it from Google Play, Google's terms apply in the same way to the purchase.
12. Ending these terms
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app and, if you have one, your account. We may end it if you break these terms. Sections 2, 3, 10 and 13 continue to apply after it ends.
13. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection you have under the law of the country you live in. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms; when we do, the date at the top changes and material changes are shown in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms or the app go to support@getadhkar.com.
